Laura Schol is the Chief Technology Officer of Best Matcha, the independent platform that helps people compare and understand Japanese matcha. She owns the technical side of the project: the product catalogue, the brand and glossary data model, the search and comparison tools, and the publishing pipeline behind every guide.

Her focus is making evidence easy to check. Product records, brand claims, grades, origins, and sourcing details are stored as structured data with a visible source, so a reader can see where a number came from instead of trusting a summary. She also leads performance and accessibility work, on the principle that a comparison people cannot load or read is not a comparison.

Laura is not a tea specialist. She works closely with the editorial side, translating what producers publish into data the platform can compare consistently, and flagging where public evidence is missing rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
