Stop asking what matcha is the best. It's the wrong question. A matcha that is perfect for whisk traditional consumption might be terrible for a latte. And a matcha that is for an iced drink, you might hate drinking it pure and hot. Think about it. Some people drink matcha for the ritual, pure, hot, whisk in a bowl with patience. They want umami. They want savory notes, thin and crisp texture. They appreciate the heritage and traditional preparation. Other people just want a smooth, creamy hot latte, something cozy, maybe with a little sweetness. That's a complete different flavor profile. And then over there, the iced matcha people. They want something bright that can hold the flavor for longer, refreshing, visually a stunning, a matcha that just look as great as [music] it tastes. So, you can see, same plant, different drinks, different needs. So, when people ask me, "What's the best matcha?" I don't have a single answer. It really depends on how you drink it, what texture you prefer, and what role plays matcha in your life. Yes, it is that deep. I'm not saying that I have all the answers, no, but I've been thinking about it a lot because there is no best matcha. There is a best matcha for you.
