Everyone talks about matcha from Uji, but you know that there are other regions, right? Because it doesn't really looks like it. Uji near Kyoto, that's the famous one. 800 years of history, the gold standard. She's beauty, she's gorgeous, we love her. But there is a region that is quietly producing some of the best matcha in Japan, Kagoshima. It's in the south of Japan. Warmer climate, longer growing season, volcanic soil, sounds fancy, right? It means more minerals, which means a slightly different flavor profile. The matcha from Kagoshima seems to be slightly sweeter, more affordable than Uji, but still 100% shade grown, stone milled. A lot of people have discovered Kagoshima matcha and they are not coming back from it. Not saying that it's better than Uji, because I've never tried it. So, if you have a recommendation, please let me know, because I tend to believe you guys more than some brands with the marketing budget of the GDP of Eswatini. You don't know where Eswatini is? Exactly. Used to be called Swaziland, rebranded, nobody got the memo.
