Before starting Best Matcha, she worked in biotechnology, a background that shaped her methodical and evidence-conscious approach to learning about products, production, and sourcing. Emilie is not a certified tea specialist or matcha sommelier; she is an enthusiastic consumer who became deeply interested in the differences between brands, origins, grades, preparation methods, and value. Through Best Matcha, she organizes product information, compares publicly available evidence, speaks with people across the industry, and develops practical resources for curious buyers. Her goal is to make matcha easier to navigate while clearly separating documented facts, producer claims, and personal observations.
